Minyu Yao
Founder and CEO
- Ms. Yao is the Founder and CEO of Seiko Capital, a real estate firm that supports oversea investors to invest in Japan.
- Before founding Seiko Capital, Ms. Yao was the Deputy General Manager of Mizuho Trust Bank, one of the largest financial groups in Japan. Ms. Yao was responsible for overseas investors launching their first real estate investment in Japan. Before that she was the gatekeeper for Japanese pension funds to invest into foreign real estate funds. She has successfully raised JPY30billion for European and US funds.
- Worked at both Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank and Orix Corporation during her 11 years real estate securitization career, Ms. Yao covered major institutional clients across the region as lender, deal arranger, etc.
- Ms. Yao is a Certified Master of Real Estate Securitization Association and a registered Real Estate Broker.
- Ms. Yao received a Master’s degree of Economics from the Osaka University and a B.A. from Nankai University.
Yamada Yasunori
Compliance Officer
- Mr. Yamada joined Seiko Capital Co., Ltd. in December 2024 and currently serves as the Head of the Compliance Department.
- Prior to joining Seiko Capital, he held key positions such as General Manager of the Planning and Administration Department and Head of the Compliance Office at Tokyo Capital Management Co., Ltd. and Secured Capital Japan Co., Ltd. (now PAG Investment Management Co., Ltd.).
- With approximately 17 years of experience in compliance within financial instruments business operators (Type II, including investment management and advisory/agency services), he has played a pivotal role in establishing robust compliance frameworks. His expertise includes obtaining new financial instruments business licenses, advertising review, compliance training, and leading the Compliance Committee, ensuring the company’s strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
Kyoichi Oyo
Internal Audits
- Kyoichi Oyo joined Seiko Capital Co., Ltd. in 2024 as an Internal Auditor, leveraging his extensive experience in the financial industry to provide expert guidance on internal audits.
- After graduating from university with a law degree, he joined the Ministry of Finance (currently the Financial Services Agency). He was primarily engaged in financial institution inspections and supervision within the Banking Bureau’s Inspection Department, Research Division, Banking Division, and Small and Medium-Sized Financial Institutions Division.
- In 2001, he transitioned to the Financial Services Agency, where he oversaw the inspection and supervision of regional financial institutions, working with the Tokai Finance Bureau, Kyushu Finance Bureau, and Tohoku Finance Bureau.
- Subsequently, he served as Director of Planning at the Second Association of Regional Banks, contributing to the development of the financial sector by organizing business matching events between member banks and startup companies.
